If we are talking about saving time in the field ... coming up with a way to route me through the comps I've pre-selected in the filed would be great.

Short-term solution: I use an app called CoPilot GPS. You have to enter all of the addresses manually, but it will optimize the stops. I would love to see a la mode incorporate this with the option for multiple reports.
Is there or can there be a way to hit one button for directions and it adds all the comps/subject into apple maps (or if you use another type of map) so you don't have to stop at each comp and then hit the next one. Maybe even put them in order of best route
An App for shooting comp photos (and other photos as well). App would do the following
1.) Allow us to enter the comp photos we want to shoot that day, along with subject property inspections if needed. Basically a list of photos to shoot.
2.) The app would also serve as a time management app, as we can enter the time of any inspections we need to do and then would route the photos according to what is the best order to shoot them.
3.) Allow us to shoot random comps (such as a listing we see, or an address given to us by a realtor or homeowner, or even just shooting all the homes in a gated community). When we pull up in front of a property the app would use GPS to give us a list of possible addresses for this comp. Also allow us to delete a comp if we decide we don't need it.
4.) When we get back to the office, allow us to automatically upload photos to Titan Photos or to upload to desktop. Automatically name the photos by address, city date and then additional info as needed (i.e. street scene, kitchen, busy street, etc).
5.) Allow us to save or print a daily log of mileage so we can use for tax purposes or to pay ourselves back for mileage.
How I envision it would be used:
1.) enter comp photos to shoot that day, along with inspections if any.
2.) would automatically route the photos for me.
3.) would calculate how much time for the photos (for instance it would say it would take me 45 minutes to shoot all these photos, leave office at 10:15 in order to shoot photos before first appointment, etc).
4.) Let me add a photo on the fly if I see an active listing I did not see on MLS
5.) When I get back to the office, it would automatically upload via WiFi to Titan Photos. I would not even have to think about it or plug it in. Could also set it to upload to drop box, etc for those that don't have Titan.
6.) Print a PDF of total miles driven that day and how much I can re-imburse myself to for mileage.

I have been using CoPilot for over 25 years. It's an app that helps me find the most efficient route for my subject and comps.I save each trip so I have a record of it too. copilotgps.com/en-us/
Except it doesn't interface with our software. I tried it ... and sure it works. But you have to retype all the comp addresses you plan on driving into CoPilot. If alm could export the comps for import to CoPilot... then I might consider using it. But the way it works now it just adds time to the process.
Well, that's true. But, there's nothing at the present time in ALM's software that will do the routing like CoPilot. And it is also very affordable. BTW- rather than typing in the addresses, I usually use Siri and speak the addresses.
Yes please, I would love a way to figure the best route from where I am. I also would like the comp color to change once the new photo has been taken to easily see where I am in the queue. Thank you.
That is a good idea too. I think the challenge (if they ever decide to do it) would be the ability to add and subtract comps from the queue (?) / the route. Not sure how you work ... but often times I will drive comps on the way to the subject if I am early. And then have comps to drive after the inspection. So I will need the ability to mark comps as "driven" while leaving others "to drive".
Yes, I would love for something like this to happen. Many times I have 3-5 reports in T4M and have comps in those reports that I want a photo of. The problem is I have to pass up a comp that may be in another report, then need to double back. Having a way of exporting the comps to something like copilot or routing in google would be good. What if we could have multiple reports opened at one time with a master map of our selected properties within?
Robert: Since the late 1990's I've been using ALK's CoPilot app. It's free in the App Store or the Play Store. I pay an extra $10 per year to use "ActiveTraffic" which gives up to the minute traffic conditions, which I need since I am in So CA. I input my subject and my comps and the "Optimize Stops" and CoPilot will then calculate the best route for me to follow!
I looked into CoPilot Lee ... probably on your suggestion! It is a bit clunky and (obviously) doesn't integrate with T4M. I can,t even export my comps from Total to import into CoPilot. Manually entering 6-12 comp addresses for every report doesn;t seems like a time saver. But maybe I'm wrong ...

Hi Henry, we are currently busy with UAD work but, yes, this is something we may possibly explore in the future.
Scott Baczkiewicz
Yes please do this and please make it available for multiple report routing.

I do this also; this is why changing the color of the comp after the photo is taken would be a great help.
