Recently we have started doing more marketing for private clients. For these clients, we have started a payment policy of taking a 50% retainer before commencing work on the assignment. We started this because we have gotten burned by clients in the passed who did not pay at all. Would it be possible to be able to choose a custom amount that can be charged to a credit card? For example, if I have 5 orders totaling $1000. I would like to charge the client $500 and have this amount be applied proportionally among all of the orders. Then when we finish the orders we can charge him the remaining fee. Currently the credit card payment only restricts the users to pay the full amount on the order. I would like this functionality to be available for both individual orders and batch payment orders.
